The outreach program in Bioinformatics was the brainchild of Dr. Sayak Ganguli, our senior consultant, during his tenure with the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, funded Biology Teaching Through Bioinformatics scheme.(BIF — BTBI).
The first such DBT outreach program was held at Berhampore Girls College in Murshidabad. The Biome has taken inspiration from that effort and has initiated The Biome outreach program in collaboration with Amplicon Biosciences (Theoretical and Computational Biology Division).
